Jawai Tour Packages
Jawai Leopard Safari & Jawai Tour Packages
Imagine a leopard sitting on a granite boulder at sunrise, watching your jeep with calm, unhurried eyes — just 20 metres away. No fence. No barrier. No national park permit queue. Just you, the open rocky landscape of the Aravalli hills, and one of the most powerful cats on earth. This is Jawai — and nothing else in India comes close to it.
Located in the Pali district of Rajasthan, Jawai Bandh is home to India’s highest density of free-roaming leopards. Unlike traditional tiger reserves and national parks, Jawai operates in an open landscape where leopards, crocodiles, flamingos, and the nomadic Rabari tribe all share the same terrain. At Shrinath Adventures, we offer complete Jawai leopard safari packages including private jeep safari, resort stay, Rabari village tour, and transfers from Udaipur or Jodhpur — everything arranged, nothing left to chance.
Why Jawai is Unlike Any Other Wildlife Destination in India
Most wildlife sanctuaries in India put you in a vehicle, take you on a fixed route inside a fenced reserve, and bring you back. Jawai is completely different.
- No national park restrictions — no fixed routes, no permit queues, no entry time limits. Your safari goes wherever the leopards are.
- Highest leopard sighting rate in India — leopards here live on open granite hills and are accustomed to vehicles. Sighting rates exceed 90% on morning safaris.
- Human-leopard coexistence — the Rabari tribal community has lived alongside leopards for generations. They consider the leopard sacred and never harm them. This is why the leopard population here is thriving.
- Multiple wildlife in one landscape — leopards, marsh crocodiles, striped hyenas, nilgai, chinkaras, flamingos, over 150 bird species, and Indian eagle-owls all in the same area.
- Year-round destination — unlike most wildlife parks that close during monsoon, Jawai safaris operate all 12 months.
- Easy to combine with Udaipur (150 km, 3 hrs), Jodhpur (200 km, 4 hrs), and Ranakpur Jain Temples (90 km, 2 hrs)

Frequently Asked Questions — Jawai Leopard Safari
Is it guaranteed to see leopards at Jawai?
Nothing in wildlife is ever 100% guaranteed, but Jawai has the highest leopard sighting rate in India. Morning safaris with expert local trackers consistently achieve 90%+ sighting rates. The open granite landscape means leopards — when present — are clearly visible, unlike dense forest reserves where animals can be heard but not seen. Our expert trackers know the individual leopards by name and follow their daily movement patterns.
How long is a Jawai leopard safari?
A standard morning or sunset leopard safari is 3–3.5 hours in a private 4×4 open-top jeep. A full-day safari (dawn to dusk) is available for serious wildlife photographers wanting maximum time in the field. We recommend doing both a morning and sunset safari for the best overall experience.
What is the cost of a Jawai leopard safari package?
A single leopard safari with private jeep and expert tracker starts from Rs 6,000 per couple. A complete 1-night Jawai package including resort, all meals, morning and sunset safari, and Rabari village tour starts from Rs 12,000 per person (twin sharing). A 2-night complete wildlife package with 4 safaris starts from Rs 20,000 per person. Contact us on +91 7878656767 for a customised quote.
Is Jawai good for couples and honeymooners?
Exceptionally so. The Jawai landscape — granite boulders, open wilderness, dramatic sunsets, and a sky full of stars — is deeply romantic. Many of the Jawai resorts offer private bush dinners, hilltop high teas, and plunge pool villas designed for couples. We recommend combining Jawai with Udaipur (3 hrs away) for a perfect Rajasthan honeymoon — lakes and palaces combined with leopard safaris.
Can I visit Jawai as a day trip from Udaipur?
Yes — Udaipur to Jawai is 150 km (3 hours) and a day trip is possible. Leave Udaipur at 5:30 AM, do a morning safari, visit the dam, have lunch at a resort, and return to Udaipur by evening. However, we strongly recommend staying at least 1 night — the sunrise safari and the Jawai night sky make the overnight stay well worth it.
What should I wear for a Jawai safari?
Wear neutral, earth-tone colours — khaki, olive green, brown, or grey. Avoid bright colours and white. Carry a light jacket for early morning safaris (October–March), sunscreen, a hat, closed-toe shoes, and a camera with a telephoto lens. Binoculars are provided on all our safaris.
